Three Days?!?!!??

Yes, indeed. I like to think of it as a mini-vacation from blogging. This is so I don't tear my eyeballs out.

It's just been a rough few days. There have been some good points, certainly--hanging out with Dan at the bookstore for "man time," watching the latests episodes of Cracker with Joanna, and.... um. Huh. That's about it, really. Most of the rest of these days have been full of madness and chaos.

I can't blame life, really--it's my fault I have been too lazy to get on here. I've just been so drained by the time I get a chance to pop online that I can't bring myself to contemplate serious work. Or, alternatively, I'll feel pretty good (like now), but be unable to devote much time to posting since I've got so many other things to do. Usually I just ignore my duties and post here anyway, but these days those duties often involve the boys poking one another with sharp objects or drinking dangerous chemicals or the baby being terrifically fussy and Joanna teetering on the brink of sanity.

So when I don't post, just imagine that I'm hopping up and down, baby on my shoulder, begging her to, for the love of all things holy, stop crying and nudging the boys with my knee away from the wheat combine and trying to keep everything quiet enough that Joanna doesn't lose what precious little is left of her sanity. It is my full intent to resume daily posting, but keep those images handy just in case.

I am all too painfully aware of those images, and bless you for trying to salvage Joanna's sanity. I think that considering, I did pretty well for the six months that I was alone in Denver, but oh man. I look back now and shake my head at the thought that I could have kept it up much longer. So both of you hang in there, and when we want to give the kids playmates to beat up on other than their siblings, we can get together again sometime!

Missed you at church today; I decided to try out the late service and I really liked it. I missed your sister, but got to sit with your lovely wife. I liked that the kids' classes were smaller, and they all seemed very happy with the workers (different folks than the 9:45 service), so I think I might continue going to that one. Hopefully next week I'll see you too!

Ideally, yes. If I'm not sick again next week, which seems likely.

We go to the third service specifically for the teachers in the kids' classes; the 4-5 year-old class is taught by some friends whom the boys are comfortable with. They've done very well. I wish I could get the rest of my family to come to that service, too, but no dice so far.

We'll keep a spot open for you next week (unless you arrive first, in which case saving the seats is your job).

Cool beans!

Yes, in addition to having a fabulous time playing with your boys, Dono seemed to really like the male worker in their class. He never seemed to care too much about the other workers one way or another, so I'd like to capitalize on his comfort level.

It's a deal on the seat-saving! Hope to see you later then.
