So as you can see, there have been some changes around here, prompted by the generous Sir Slater. It's a super-cool look, I think, but it'll take some poking around to get it to sit right. In the meantime, I have grading! There are only three weeks or so left in the semester, and that audio book event is this upcoming weekend, so it's getting to be rather hectic. I'll get to this as soon as possible.
My advice for today: Don't start watching anything about conspiracy theories on YouTube or you'll soon find your whole day sucked away into a world of bizarre weirdness.

The new look is super fly and I am super jealous. You get a cozy looking blog while mine still looks like I ran over McGrimus and used his minty hide to post my thoughts on. So not fair. I gotta go find a bettr look.
Last night at our house we read aloud the passage when the hobbits meet Goldberry for the first time. Your inclusion of someone new into the fellowship was sweet to see...the boost, the welcoming. You bestowed some kindness in your cleverness :)

I'm pleased that Goldberry enjoyed her new title; you'll have to drag out a copy of the Silmarillion to find out yours...
On that note, there will be some additions coming to the list soon, and as much as I tried to find befitting names, hopefully all understand as well that they can't be perfect, especially for you ladies—there are just a lot more male characters than female in Tolkien. Almost all of you would bear the title of Eowyn well, but in the end I had to give it to Beth (mainly because I think she's the most willing to actually kill me in a fight).
Ornery's Wife, you're next to be added to the list—it is too my shame that I have taken so long to include you in the ranks.
Now if only those male friends I have given name to (Legolas, Gimli, Gandalf—I'm looking at you), the list might be more complete...
Plus, I can actually use a sword, so there's that.
Goldberry is very honored with being included in The Fellowship. That was very sweet! Also, what a neat new page!
